TOP DOG WRAP

April 24, 2013 | POSTED IN Events
The Bundy Kart Club revved up over the weekend for the Mac Truck and Ken Landt Diesel - TOP DOG challenge.

Racing as always was competitive and with the prized Silver and Gold Mac Truck trophies up for grabs victory was so much sweeter. Close to a hundred drivers competed in the challenge, many travelling quite a distance in preparation for the State Titles over the last weekend of June. The Bundy Kart Club thanks all competitors, officials, volunteers, drivers, sponsors and supporters for a great weekend of racing and sportsmanship.

Special thanks to Jo for these fantastic photos of the day.

Harrison Hoey from Brisbane, takes home first place in the Rookies. Harrison was also awarded the Junior 'Gold' Dog for his overall performance and sportsmanship on the day. In a move that brought all the mums in the crowd to tears, Harrison gifted his gold trophy to his sister Jacinta who races in Cadets. Now 'that's gold' Fatty Vautin! Harrison would like to thank his sponsors PACIFIC KART SPORT and JT MOTOR SPORT.

Mates from the Gold Coast - Jack Doohan (left) Lochie Hughes (centre) and Broc Feeney (right) are all smiles after a victorious day on the track. Jack taking home his first Mack Truck Top Dog trophy for first place, Broc taking home second, and Lochie keeping them on their toes coming in at a close fourth. Jack said it was a great meet and wanted to thank the Club and his sponsors. Lochie said 'the day was really good practice for the Opens with good competition and that's what's racing is all about' . (well spoken Lochie). Broc is looking forward to 'hopefully coming back for the Shake Down'. And we are looking forward to you all coming back Broc!

Kel Treseder (KT) calls the race. Special mention to Maria Louise for a great job on the grid.

Congratulations also to Mason Barbera who took home the Gold Dog for the Seniors.

Karting is a great family sport! Four year old Max Acquasanta has three years to wait before he can become a Cadet on the track, but that doesn't stop him from supporting his big cousin Troy who took home 1st Place in TaG Light and third place in Qld Sportsman Light.

We hope to see you back in Bundy for the Ross Gray Holden Qld Open Champs SHAKEDOWN 26th May.
